Roman Brooches

In Art we made our own brooches with Mr King. We used macoroni cheese, sequences,glue,gold and bronze paint and string. The Roman Brooches had to be worn by Roman Emporers and women. Important people would wear Purple togas to show how powerful they were and to show there importance. Next time we are going to make Roman necklaces and rings. YES! That will be exciting. We are also going to be making our own togas and tunics.

Diwali cards

In class we made Diwali cards on 2publish+, we also used tools to design them. Some of them were put on display because they were great! We have learnt a lot about Diwali in class, like how they Hindu's celebrate the festival of lights and where Hindus worship.

We even made our own Rangoli patterns in ICT!

Tomorow we are going to have our class Assembly, so you can find out more about what we have been doing this term.

Hinduism

This week we have been learning about Hinduism, Divali and made our own rangoli patterns on the computer. It has been so much fun so far because the rangoli pattens have been designed to represent a welcoming of the new year ahead. We wrote fables from a given moral in class. This is the moral in the hare and the toutoise: Slow and steady wins the race. We also made mosaics out of little pieces of paper.

Fairlops BLOGGERS

A new club has started this year called BLOGGERS and we will be posting blogs weekly, sharing lot's of different things that are happening in our classes!
